General information

Description of the healing properties of the herb jaundice, preparation, application

Today there are more than 200 species of plants called yellowcone, but only two of them have healing properties - gray (or sprawling) and levkoy. It should be noted that these two species are almost identical in their properties and application.

Yellowberry, which is popularly called core , or save grass , occupies a leading position among the herbs used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, both in folk and in traditional medicine. The properties of this plant, its forms of application, indications and contraindications - will be discussed further.

Zheltushnik gray (sprawling)

The height of the jaundice gray, which is a biennial plant, is about 30 - 90 cm. This type of jaundice has a grayish color due to the short, pressed hairs. It grows on stony and grassy slopes, along roadsides, on dry meadows, as well as in pine forests.

The yellow jaundice gray is the strongest cardiac glycoside, so it is used to normalize cardiac activity and in the treatment of such diseases:

  • angina,
  • arrhythmia,
  • dropsy of cardiac origin
  • hypertension,
  • atherosclerosis.

In medicine, the aerial part of the plant is used - grass and seeds.

Yellowcrus Levkoyny

The yellowcone levkoyny is an annual plant that differs from the gray jaundice by pale yellow petals, the length of which does not exceed 5 mm. Plant height can reach 120 cm.

This species of jaundice grows in the meadows and edges, in the river sands, as well as along the roads and in the fields. The yellowcone levkoyny, as well as spreading, is used as a cardiac remedy. In addition, it is part of the drugs intended to eliminate convulsive cough.

Treatment with jaundice

Since antiquity, the yellowcone is considered a potent cardiac remedy, which not only relieves heart pain quickly, but also improves mood, normalizes sleep, and calms the nerves.

The effect of jaundice on the human body:

  • cardiac improvement,
  • normalization and strengthening of the functioning of the heart muscle,
  • slowing the heart rate,
  • expansion of peripheral blood vessels,
  • reduction of stagnation
  • normalization of the central nervous system
  • improving mood
  • normalization of sleep.

Diseases for which reception of jaundice is indicated:
  • heart defects,
  • myocarditis,
  • acute and chronic heart failure
  • bronchial asthma,
  • phlebeurysm,
  • thrombophlebitis,
  • cardiosclerosis
  • angina,
  • ischemia,
  • hypertension,
  • arrhythmia,
  • renal failure
  • pulmonary tuberculosis,
  • headache,
  • insomnia,
  • neurosis
  • dyspnea,
  • dropsy of cardiac origin.

Juice of jaundice is used in the manufacture of the drug Cardiovalen , which is commonly used in the treatment of heart disease.

It should be noted that the jaundice does not accumulate in the human body, as a result of which it is not addictive, like valerian, for example. This allows you to take his drugs for a long time, especially if the plant is included in the fees.

Zheltushnik has a sufficiently strong biological activity - therefore, to use drugs that include this plant, you must be very careful, observing the dosage set by the doctor.

Little Yellow Grass
As a medicinal raw material, above-ground dried parts of the jaundice are predominantly used. They are single branched stems with leaves and flowers. The jaundice herb has a peculiar aroma and a very bitter taste. It has antihelminthic, expectorant and anticonvulsant action, therefore it is used in the treatment of cough, pulmonary tuberculosis, bronchitis.

Yellowberry Seeds
The seeds of the plant are used as a wound-healing agent, which is indicated for difficult-to-heal wounds, scurvy, broken bone.

Collecting and harvesting

The jaundice collects during flowering, that is, from May to June, while the seeds of the plant ripen in the months of June and July. This should take into account the fact that in the period of full blooming flowers, the activity of medicinal raw materials falls. When collecting raw materials, the above-ground part is cut off, without the lower stem, after which it is instantly dried in fresh air, in a dryer (at a temperature of 40-60 degrees) or in the attic.

Attention! No wetting of raw materials is allowed.

After drying, the grass is necessarily cleaned from impurities and dust.

Stored dried raw materials in a dark and well-ventilated area, not more than a year. At the same time, after six months of storage, the healing properties of the plant are reduced. Herbs are used to store hermetically sealed cardboard boxes or paper bags.

The composition and properties of jaundice

The grass and seeds of both types of jaundice contain thirteen cardiac-acting glycosides, the most active of which are erysimine and

Erysimine action:

  • slow heart rate
  • increased systole,
  • diastole lengthening,
  • normalization of blood circulation.

Action ericcordine:
  • lowering blood pressure
  • an increase in the intensity of coronary blood flow,
  • normalization of cardiac activity.

The effect of cardiac glycosides in general:
  • increase in myocardial contractility,
  • slowing of atrioventricular conduction,
  • decrease in heart rate,
  • increase in excitability.

Also drugs, components of which are cardiac glycosides, have a vasoconstrictor and diuretic effect.

Properties of flavonoids:
1. Capillary strengthening.
2. Cardiotropic action:

  • cardiotonic,
  • coronary dilator
  • antiarrhythmic.
3. Antispasmodic: flavonoids eliminate spasms of smooth muscle fibers, triggered by various endogenous and exogenous factors.
4. Sedative.
5. Diuretic.
6. Diuretic.
7. Choleretic.
8. Hepatoprotective.
9. Antioxidant.
10. Anti-inflammatory.
11. Hemostatic.

Flavonoids have low toxicity, so they can be used for a long time.

Fatty acid

Perform energy function: in the process of the breakdown of fatty acids energy is formed. In addition, acids are assigned a plastic function, which consists in the fact that they participate in the construction of the membranes that make up the skeleton of cells.

Fatty acids are components of various lipids (for example, phosphatides, glycerides, waxes, and also cholesterol), participating in metabolism.

Organic acids

Organic acids play an important role in the process of metabolism: for example, they are involved in the biosynthesis of alkaloids, glycosides, amino acids and other biologically active compounds. Organic acids are also a link linking the individual stages of the metabolism of fats, proteins, carbohydrates.

Jaundice includes ascorbic, malic, citric acid.

Application of jaundice

When the functioning of the cardiac system is impaired, jaundice preparations are used for:

  • removing excess fluid from the body,
  • cleaning blood vessels
  • enhance the contraction of the heart muscle.

Zheltushnik gray and levkoy are used to normalize the functioning of the cardiovascular system. In addition, the jaundice helps to improve the function of the neuro-muscular system of the heart, thereby beneficially affecting the restoration of normal functioning of all internal organs.

Preparations of jaundice have high biological activity, being effective means for the treatment of inflammatory and traumatic processes. So, with the defeat of the skin using the plant not only improves the nutrition of cells, but also softens dry skin. Under the influence of glycosides, swelling is significantly reduced and blood circulation in general is restored.

It must be said that in terms of glycoside content, jaundice is many times greater than the foxglove, adonis and lily of the valley commonly used in medicine today. At the same time, the jaundice glycosides are contained absolutely in all the organs of this plant, although the seeds and flowers are richest in them all the same.

In the course of the research it was proved that the preparations of jaundice in their properties and effects on the body are similar to the drug Strofantinom shown for such diseases:

  • acute and chronic cardiovascular insufficiency of II and III degree, accompanied by severe circulatory disorders,
  • tachycardia,
  • atrial fibrillation.

Yellowcone affects the body as follows:
  • increases the strength and speed of myocardial contraction,
  • reduces heart rate,
  • reduces atrioventricular conductivity,
  • promotes ventricular emptying, which reduces the size of the heart and reduces the oxygen demand of the myocardium.

Pharmacological tests have shown that the preparations of jaundice is almost 2 times more active than Strofantina. Moreover, herbal preparations are less toxic than Strofantin.

Juice of jaundice grass is a component of Cardiovalen, which is a drug used to treat rheumatic heart disease, autonomic neurosis, stage I and II cardiosclerosis, and angina pectoris that is not accompanied by organic changes in the heart vessels.

Acceptance of jaundice is indicated for diabetics, since this plant promotes insulin production.

As an agent for external use, preparations of jaundice are used in the treatment of breast cancer, as well as purulent tumors.

Thus, pharmaceutical preparations that include yellow and yellow lenticular jaundice are the most effective means used in the treatment of heart failure, accompanied by severe circulatory disorders (especially when it comes to prompt medical intervention). So, after taking jaundice, firstly, the pulse is aligned, and secondly, the heart rate is normalized.

Yellowberry decoction

A decoction of the grass of jaundice is used in medicine as an emergency tool, which is able in the shortest possible time to normalize cardiac activity in general and blood circulation in particular. In such situations, the icterus slows down the heartbeat, levels the pulse, improves heart activity.

For cooking broth 1 tsp dry minced raw material is boiled in 300 ml of water over low heat for 10 minutes. The broth is filtered, after which its volume is brought to the initial 300 ml with boiled water. Accepted 1 tbsp, not more than four times a day. This recipe will help to cope with chronic heart failure and edema of cardiac origin.

Contraindications and side effects

The yellow crown is a poisonous plant. For this reason, its use should be carried out under medical supervision, and the dosage prescribed by the doctor should be strictly followed.

Preparations of jaundice are contraindicated in:

  • pregnancy
  • breastfeeding
  • sharp heart changes of organic character,
  • acute myocarditis,
  • endocarditis,
  • severe cardiosclerosis,
  • acute atherosclerosis.

An overdose of jaundice can cause arrhythmia and a decrease in pressure. In this case, you should immediately seek qualified medical assistance.

Signs of overdose with the preparations of yellowcone (observed, mainly, with an overdose of tincture of the plant):

  • severe headaches
  • nausea,
  • vomiting
  • profuse salivation,
  • weakness in the whole body (especially in the legs).

This symptom is inherent in patients who have stagnation in the intestine. For this reason, before treatment with the use of jaundice it is necessary to normalize the work of the intestine, for which you can resort to using enemas and separate meals.

Enema is administered once a day (the composition of the enema - 2 liters of boiled 40-degree water and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice). After eliminating the symptoms of poisoning, it is recommended to take a five-day break, and then continue treatment again.

Yellowcane for weight loss

The yellowcone is used not only to normalize the work of the cardiac system, but also to get rid of extra pounds. The fact is that this plant contains bitterness, which, entering the duodenum, reduces the sugar content in the blood, thereby reducing the degree of obesity.

Also, the active ingredients of jaundice restore and normalize the function of the liver and pancreas, removing the swelling in renal failure. In the process of taking jaundice, the pulse is reduced, making the heart no longer exhausting to function, which eliminates arrhythmia and tachycardia (these conditions are frequent companions of obesity).

Losing weight through jaundice is a fairly simple process, the main thing is to be patient and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions.

With weight loss, reception of 0.1 g of dried jaundice powder is shown. The specified dose of powder is taken daily, three times a day, 20 minutes after food intake (the powder is put on the tongue, wetted with saliva and swallowed). You can drink the powder with a small sip of water. Thanks to this simple recipe, you can lose up to 4 kg per month, but under the condition of keeping the exact dosage: for example, the daily dose of the jaundice powder should not exceed 0.3 g.

The duration of taking yellowberry for weight loss is two months, after which a 15-day break is taken, during which it is recommended to exclude fatty and fried foods from the diet, as well as alcohol. After 15 days, the process of losing weight can be resumed.

In order to prevent weight gain, the jaundice can be taken for a long time. The prophylactic dose is 0.1 g per day (you can take it at the indicated dosage every other day, which will prevent not only obesity, but also cardiovascular diseases).

Kvass Bolotova

It is indicated for arrhythmias, dropsy of renal or cardiac origin, heart attack, angina pectoris.

  • sour cream - 1 tsp,
  • sugar - 1 cup,
  • Cool boiled water - 3 l,
  • jaundice herb - 50 g

All components of kvass are mixed. Further, the container with kvass is placed in a warm place, where it wanders for two weeks. Kvass should be stirred periodically. This heart kvass is taken three times a day, half an hour before eating, 150 ml.

Important! When pouring 150 ml of kvass from a container, it is necessary to add 150 ml of water and 1 tsp to it. Sahara.

Simultaneously with Bolotov's kvass, it is recommended to take a daily powder of jaundice sprawling in an amount of 0.1 g. This will stimulate the pancreas to produce insulin, which, splitting both sugars and fats, will provide the heart with nutrition.

Preparation of tools that contribute to the normalization of blood circulation

You can prepare a preparation from jaundice that will help in normalizing the functioning of the circulatory system after a heart attack. Brew fifteen grams of dried finely chopped above-ground part of the plant in three hundred milliliters of boiled water. Next, place the container on the stove, wait for the composition to boil, and then roast the composition on a low flame for a quarter of an hour. Use ¼ cup of filtered drink mixed with sugar or honey syrup - 20 ml.

Rheumatism, varicose veins: curative tincture therapy

Mix thirty grams of dry ground ground part of the plant with ground propolis - twenty degrees, lemon peel - half. Fill the raw materials with medical alcohol - half a liter. Store a tightly closed container in a cool, darkened room for two weeks. Filtered tincture use for rubbing and compresses. Inside it is recommended to use twenty drops of the drug.

Heart failure, heart attack, angina: therapy with Bolotov kvass

Mix sour cream - one spoon with sugar - a glass and boiling water - three liters. Add to this composition wormwood - twenty grams and jaundice - fifty grams. Mix the ingredients well and store the container in a warm room for three weeks. It is recommended to consume 100 milliliters of a drink twice a day.

Diabetes: Treatment Collection

Mix in equal proportions jaundice with yarrow and red clover. All ingredients need to take ten grams. All plants must be pre-dried and ground. Stock the raw material with half a liter of freshly boiled water. Insist the composition for three days in a warm place, preferably in a thermos. Drink ½ cup of strained medicine two or three times a day.

Infusion to treat arrhythmias

Combine in equal proportions the jaundice with the meadowsweet, peppermint, watch, wild strawberry leaves, foxglove, tatarnik, rosehip and fennel. Pair 30 grams of raw materials in five hundred milliliters of boiling water. Let the composition infuse. Drink a quarter cup of strained drink three times a day.

Collection for the treatment of hypertension

Mix the jaundice in the amount of ten grams with melissa, wormwood, sweet clover, yarrow, valerian, rowan, plantain, sage - each plant is five grams. Make the raw material with just boiling water - 500 ml. Store the container in a warm place for two hours. Take ½ cup of filtered medicine twice a day.

The medicinal properties of the herb jaundice are well studied and are actively used for the treatment of many diseases. The herb belongs to the list of potent medicinal raw materials, and therefore requires careful use, after consulting a doctor, with strict adherence to the recommended doses.

Beneficial features

In folk medicine and the "official" pharmacology, the plant is valued for a whole range of medicinal properties, namely:

  1. Anti-inflammatory effect. The biologically active components of jaundice, penetrating into the cell layer, affect inflammation, neutralizing its focus.
  2. Antiseptic effect (strengthens the cell membrane, thereby protecting them from the action of viruses and bacteria).
  3. Acceleration of wound healing, including deep wounds, as well as background rotting processes. The skin regenerates faster (this is the merit of flavonoids), while the deep tissues of the dermis are being healed.
  4. Help in strengthening the bone apparatus and ligaments.
  5. Normalization of the heart (support of the myocardium, regulation of the ventricles, reduction of atrioventricular conductivity).
  6. Ability to eliminate symptoms of arrhythmia and tachycardia.
  7. Cleansing of blood vessels, which allows to prevent the occurrence of thrombosis and cardiovascular insufficiency ІІ-ІІІ degrees (both in acute and in chronic form).
  8. Soft but effective regulation of blood pressure. The same applies to blood sugar levels.
  9. Urinary and choleretic effect. Flavonoids and natural lipids, passing through the liver, relieve swelling.
  10. Soothing effect. When used, the nervous system unloads - the chronic fatigue syndrome goes away, the effects of stress are smoothed out. In addition, normal sleep returns.
  11. The yellowcone is also known as a strong expectorant used to treat respiratory tract diseases that take place against the background of copious mucus secretion.
  12. Those who suffer from shortness of breath or severe headaches will also appreciate the power of this plant.

Contraindications and harm

Like any medicinal plant, the jaundice requires extreme care when using it. In addition, it is poisonous, so there is a need for prior medical consultation (self-treatment is excluded).

  • acute atherosclerosis,
  • myocarditis in the acute stage,
  • severe cardiosclerosis,
  • endocarditis,
  • organic changes in the heart with accelerated dynamics,
  • individual intolerance.
Possible harm associated with overdose. Mistakes in use can result in serious symptoms.

There are some nuances. For example, if a person has not previously dealt with any parts of this herb, vomiting or nausea may occur. To avoid this, the reception should be started with small doses, and with the appearance of emetic urges - immediately stop, if necessary, having cleaned the stomach. Usually, it is enough to drink a large amount of water, if necessary - to put an enema. More alarming “bells” (feeling of abrupt weakness throughout the body, bouts of severe headaches, or increased salivation) will also be an occasion to stop taking. In such a situation, emphasis is placed on enhanced nutrition and taking soft medicines.

In general, the use of jaundice can be reduced to two words - moderation and caution. We found out how to recognize the jaundice plant, what is its benefits and possible harm. We hope this information will be useful to our readers, and they will responsibly approach the use of this herb. Bogatyr all health!
